Onam celebrations.The campus is in a festive mood.Laughter and colours all around.Winning 'attapookkalam' competition is very important for Botany department(plants and flowers are our property.Others beware!)
Students are busy in making model pookkalam.The Botany professor is giving them instructions.He says,"Place 'Calotropus' at the margins and 'Ixora' inside the circle.The young botanists blinks.The teacher looks at the young botanists staring at him.His eyes pleads,"Oh God when will you save me"

Practical hour.
Students are sitting inside the lab.Microscopes,needles,stains etc above each table.
Young Botanist:Look friends.Hanuman is arriving carrying Marutvamala.
Oh KK is also with him.
(The lab assistant enters the room with a handful of stems and roots.Teacher is also with him).Small pieces of stems and roots are ready for practicals.
Teacher looks through the microscope and asks,"Where is the epidermis"
Young botanist replies,"sir..it is at the centre"
The teacher's face turns red with anger.He shouts,"Coming for practicals without knowing the 'basic' facts!"
The youg botanist gives a victorious smile and answers,"It is at the 'base' sir"
